The Dirty Dozen List for 2020

Happy Wednesday!

I hope all of you are well.  Today, I wanted to share the EWG’s 2020 Dirty Dozen and the Clean Fifteen lists.

I always buy organic food when possible.  If you don't live where there's a lot of organic food or don't want to spend the money you can use this list to help you decide what's most important for your family.

The 2020 Dirty Dozen List:

Strawberries
Spinach
Kale
Nectarines
Apples
Grapes
Peaches
Cherries
Pears
Tomatoes
Celery
Potatoes

The Clean Fifteen List:
This list is conventionally grown produce that does not have as many pesticides used on them.

Avocados
Sweet Corn*
Pineapple
Onions
Papayas*
Sweet Peas (frozen)
Eggplant
Asparagus
Cauliflower
Cantaloupe
Broccoli
Mushrooms
Cabbage
Honeydew Melon

* A small amount of sweet corn, papaya, and summer squash sold in the United States is produced from genetically modified seeds. Buy organic varieties of these crops if you want to avoid genetically modified produce. See ewg.org for more information.
