THE DIRTY DOZEN LIST FOR 2023

 Happy Sunday!

I hope all of you are having a great weekend.  Today, I wanted to share the EWG’s 2023 Dirty Dozen list and the Clean Fifteen list.

I always buy organic food when possible.  If you don't live where there's a lot of organic food or don't want to spend the money you can use this list to help you decide what's most important for your family.

The 2021 Dirty Dozen List:

Strawberries

Spinach

Kale, Collards, and Mustard Greens

Peaches

Pears

Nectarines

Apples

Grapes

Bell and Hot Peppers

Cherries

Blueberries

Green Beans

The Clean Fifteen List:

This list is conventionally grown produce that does not have as many pesticides used on them.

Avocados

Sweet Corn*

Pineapple

Onions

Papayas*

Sweet Peas (frozen)

Asparagus

Honeydew Melon

Kiwi

Cabbage

Mushrooms

Mangos

Sweet Potatoes

Watermelon

Carrots

*A small amount of sweet corn, papaya, and summer squash sold in the United States is produced from genetically modified seeds. Buy organic varieties of these crops if you want to avoid genetically modified produce. See ewg.org for more information.

Now you are a better-informed consumer when you go to the grocery store.

Here are three ways I clean produce:

  • Young Living Thieves Fruit & Vegetable Spray
  • Young Living Thieves Fruit & Vegetable Soak
  • 3 cups filtered water and 1 cup organic white distilled vinegar as a soak or spray

Let me know how you clean your produce.  Please leave me a comment below.  If you want to know more about Young Living Thieves products, just leave me a comment below and I'll get back to you.

Thank you for reading.

Make it a GREAT week.
