The Dirty Dozen List for 2021
Happy Sunday!
I hope all of you are having a great weekend. Today, I wanted to share the EWG’s 2021 Dirty Dozen list and the Clean Fifteen list.
I always buy organic food when possible. If you don't live where there's a lot of organic food or don't want to spend the money you can use this list to help you decide what's most important for your family.
The 2021 Dirty Dozen List:
Strawberries
Spinach
Kale, Collards, and Mustard Greens
Nectarines
Apples
Grapes
Cherries
Peaches
Pears
Bell and Hot Peppers
Tomatoes
Celery
Tomatoes
The Clean Fifteen List:
This list is conventionally grown produce that does not have as many pesticides used on them.
Avocados
Sweet Corn*
Pineapple
Onions
Papayas*
Sweet Peas (frozen)
Eggplant
Asparagus
Broccoli
Cabbage
Kiwi
Cauliflower
Mushrooms
Honeydew Melon
Cantaloupe
* A small amount of sweet corn, papaya, and summer squash sold in the United States is produced from genetically modified seeds. Buy organic varieties of these crops if you want to avoid genetically modified produce. See ewg.org for more information.
Now you are a better-informed consumer when you go to the grocery store.
I clean all produce with three products:
Young Living Thieves Fruit & Vegetable Spray
Young Living Thieves Fruit & Vegetable Soak
3 cups filtered water and 1 cup organic white distilled vinegar as a soak or spray
